A shack makeover — replacing lumber with wire shelving
My shack always seems to be in transition.
Equipment comes, equipment goes. Gear gets moved from one side of a table to another. Then back again. My shack never stays the same for long.
That’s when it dawned on me to stop building cabinets and shelves from expensive particle board and lumber. Instead I found this wire shelving which is very adaptable — mix and match. Totally modular. Comes in two sizes. Stackable too at whatever height I need.
I get more effective space out of my shack by using corners with shelving angled at 90° too. Up, down, left, right — there is no end to how flexible your layout can be. And these cost a fraction of what I used to spend on particle board and lumber. Very sturdy too.
