Is the Technician license class too easy?

Do you think the current Technician Class license exam is too easy? Too hard? Not covering topics it should be?

Now’s your chance to suggest changes.

The Question Pool Committee of the National Council of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators is seeking input from the amateur community on recommended changes to the next Technician question pool, which will be used in exams administered between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2022.

According to committee chair Rol Anders, K3RA, all comments and suggestions will be taken into consideration, although it may not be possible to reply to all e-mails received.

Send your comments and suggested questions before April 1, 2017, to <>.

P.S. My 2 cents… Getting rid of the morse code requirement was bad enough, but dumbing down all the written exams has made our hobby even more dysfunctional (read: CBers). I feel I can saw this with perspective. I was first licensed in 1960. Listen to 3.908 MHz LSB any Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday beginning at 8pm Pacific time to see what I mean…it will only take a few minutes of your time…you will be shocked.
